These appear within a ruum when someone has commented on an item or in the chat, added new files, or when a new email has been received by the ruum.
In the below image, you can see that there have been 5 new comments since this ruum was last viewed:

Available within a ruum only, click the Activities icon to view a complete record of team activity since the ruum was created:
Within this activity tracker you can also find two useful features;
Highlight Changes - Click this button to highlight any changes to your canvas in yellow:

Show on Canvas - Click this button to be taken to that content or comment:
